Directorate Change

The board of EMIS Group plc ("the Group") is delighted to announce the appointment of Michael Kevin O'Leary as the Group's Independent Non-Executive Chairman, with immediate effect.

Mr O'Leary, aged 58, has twenty years of main board experience in a public company environment, including with both FTSE100 and FTSE250 companies. He has broad experience of running global operations and a strong background in the IT industry, as well as intimate association with the UK and international healthcare sectors.

Mr O'Leary is currently a non-executive director of Headlam Group plc, Psion plc and he is also Chairman of Digital Healthcare Limited (a Cambridge based supplier of software to the UK Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Programme). He was formerly Chief Executive of Marlborough Stirling plc, Chief Executive of Huon Corporation and an executive director of Misys plc. At Misys, Mr O'Leary's roles included running the group's US healthcare division, which supplied software and services to over 70,000 primary care physicians in North America. He was also responsible for Misys' UK based healthcare business which supplied PAS and pathology departmental systems.

Tony Jones is stepping down from the board, also with immediate effect.

Mike brings a wealth of relevant experience in the software and IT healthcare services sector and as a plc board director, which we are sure will help us to execute our strategy and realise our growth plans for the business."
