Egdon Resources PLC 06 September 2005 For immediate release 6 September 2005 Egdon Resources plc ('Egdon' or the 'Company') Block 15/7 awarded in 23rd Seaward Licensing Round Egdon Resources plc (AIM : EDR), announces that it has been offered a 50% working interest in Block 15/7 in the 23rd Seaward Licensing Round, announced by the Secretary of State today. The block, which was jointly applied for with Nautical Petroleum plc, contains an identified heavy oil accumulation, which was discovered by Texaco in 1977. Nautical will assume the Operatorship of the licence, and both companies will be required to reprocess 2D and 3D seismic data. The initial licence term is for 2 years. The award continues the development of Egdon's energy portfolio, which includes UK onshore exploration and the development of a gas storage project in Dorset.
