EDINBURGH WORLDWIDE INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

Board Changes

The Board of Edinburgh Worldwide Investment Trust plc announces the following Board changes that will be effective from 1 February 2011:

Mr David Coltman will relinquish the Chairmanship but will remain on the Board.

Mr David Reid will become Chairman and will relinquish the Chairmanship of the Audit & Management Engagement Committee and the position of Senior Independent Director.  Mr Jake Leslie Melville will become Chairman of the Audit & Management Engagement Committee and The Hon. Kim Fraser will become the Senior Independent Director.
