On 17 February 2000, The Edinburgh Investment Trust plc bought back a further
150,000 ordinary shares for cancellation at a price of 487.0p per share.
Following the buy back, there are 275,522,364 ordinary shares in issue. The
share buy-back will be financed out of the capital reserve.
