On 30 September 1999, The Edinburgh Investment Trust plc bought back a further
150,000 ordinary shares for cancellation at an average price of 466.5p per
share. Following the buy back, there are 283,634,471 ordinary shares in issue.
The share buy-back will be financed out of the capital reserve.
