On 20 April 2000, The Edinburgh Investment Trust plc bought back a further
30,000 ordinary shares for cancellation at a price of 493.33p per share.
Following the buy back, there are 263,810,644 ordinary shares in issue. The
share buy-back will be financed out of the capital reserve.
