Mercator Gold plc (the 'Company') was notified on 7 February 2007 that Morgan
Stanley Securities Limited, following an acquisition of ordinary shares of 10
pence each in the Company ('Ordinary Shares') on 6 February 2007, is now
interested in 4,871,143 Ordinary Shares, representing 9.09% of the total issued
share capital of the Company.
