Dr Susan Vearncombe resigned as a Director of Mercator on 2 December 2005, and
has been appointed General Manager Geology with immediate effect.

The Company should like to thank Dr Vearncombe for her valuable contribution to
the Company at Board level, and look forward to working with her in her new
role.
