                            ANGLO PACIFIC GROUP PLC



The Board of Anglo Pacific Group PLC, (APG), is pleased to announce an interim
dividend for the year ending 31st December 2005 of 2.25p net per ordinary share
(2004 Interim 1.6p net), an increase of 41%. This will be paid to shareholders
registered on the share register at the close of business on 2nd December 2005.



The shares will be quoted ex dividend in London on 30th November 2005 and in
Australia on 28th November 2005 and the dividend will be paid on 27th January
2006.



Shareholders will again be given the opportunity to elect to receive a scrip
dividend instead of cash.
