EcoSecurities Group plc 11 March 2008 ECOSECURITIES REGISTERS 101st CDM PROJECT Dublin, 11 March 208: EcoSecurities, a leading company in the business of sourcing, developing and trading carbon credits, has announced the successful registration of its 101st Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project, Tianji Group Line 1 N2O abatement project, which is located in Lucheng City in Shanxi province, and has an output of 130,00 tonnes of nitric acid per year. This project is being developed by EcoSecurities and Tianji Coal Chemical Industry Group Co. Ltd and utilises a secondary N2O abatement catalyst technology to reduce N2O emissions which is a strong greenhouse gas (310 times more potent than CO2). It is expected that this project will generate around 500,000 CERs a year and over 2.5 million CERs through to 2012. In addition to this project, there are also several other N2O projects currently making their way through the CDM process. Belinda Kinkead, Head of Implementation at EcoSecurities, said, "We are very proud to have successfully registered the Tianji N2O project with the CDM EB. This is the first successfully registered N2O project in our portfolio and we have a further 15 projects at various stages of the CDM implementation cycle." Pedro Moura Costa, President at EcoSecurities, commented, "It is encouraging to see EcoSecurities continue to expand its market share, having registered 101 out of 937 registered projects in the CDM pipeline. I am confident that we will continue to build on these successes throughout 2008." - Ends - For further information please contact: EcoSecurities Group plc Rachel Mountain +44 (0) 1865 202 635 Citigate Dewe Rogerson +44 (0) 207 638 9571 Kevin Smith Ged Brumby Editor's Notes: About EcoSecurities: EcoSecurities is one of the world's leading companies in the business of sourcing, developing and trading carbon credits.
