The  Company  was  informed today that the Mineworkers  Pension  Scheme  has  an
interest  in  955,147  ordinary  shares of 5p each  in  the  Company  ("Ordinary
Shares") representing 3.07 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital being
31,080,227 Ordinary Shares.

These  shares  are registered in the name of Mineworkers pension  Scheme  (Chase
GIS) Nominees Ltd.
