Exercise of Share Options

Lawrence Plc announces that Mr J W Dick (non-executive director) has exercised
56,000 executive share options at a price of 100p as granted to him on 22
November 1989.

After the exercise of share options, Mr J W Dick will hold 56,000 ord 10p
Lawrence shares (representing 0.79% of the ordinary share capital).

Application is being made for these shares to be dealt on the Alternative
Investment Market and it is hoped that dealing can begin on 3 November 1999.

The shares rank pari passu with existing ordinary shares of Lawrence plc.
