Lawrence plc (the 'Company') announces that, following the grant of consent on
21 December 2000 for the exercise of an option over 16,000 new ordinary shares
at 100 pence per share by Mr M E Brent, a director of the Company, the Company
allotted and issued the new ordinary shares to Mr Brent on 16 July 2001.


The Company was informed on 16 July 2001.


The Company is applying for 16,000 new ordinary shares of 10p each to be
admitted to trading on AIM, admission being expected to occur on 23 July 2001.
