                              Chairman's Statement



At the Annual General Meeting of Eckoh Technologies plc today at 2:30pm, Ian
Martin, Chairman, made the following comments:



"The past year has been a period of significant change for Eckoh Technologies.
We have implemented a major restructuring programme, which was designed to move
the Company into profitability and safeguard its financial future. Current
trading indicates that this was successful, and has firmly positioned the
Company for profitability and positive cash flow.



It is our aim to become Europe's leading speech applications service provider
and exploit the anticipated growth in demand for these services across Europe.
The Directors believe that demand for speech solutions will continue to grow
quickly as a result of increasing adoption of speech recognition technology, and
that the Company is well positioned to exploit this growth.



Since June 2001, we have secured contracts with Virgin Mobile, Granada, Emap,
the Royal Institute for the Blind and we can today announce a three year
contract to build, manage and maintain a branded voice portal for Centrica.



The past year has also seen significant changes to our Board, and the
appointment of Martin Turner and Nik Philpot as Chief Executive Officer and
Chief Operating Officer, respectively.



In March, I indicated that it is my intention to stand down as a director and
Chairman of the Company in November, and a search for my successor is currently
underway.



I would like to thank our managers and staff for their continuing loyalty,
energy and commitment during a very challenging year.  However, it is important
for us to now focus on the future and we can do so with confidence following our
successful restructuring and our continuing progress with the development of our
speech solutions activities."
