Independent Resources plc has noted reports in the Italian press that the Tuscan
regional government has cleared the Company to drill new exploration wells for
production testing at its Fiume Bruna coalbed methane resource in northen Italy.
The Company is awaiting formal notification and hopes to make an announcement in
due course.
