DISCLOSURE OF INTEREST IN SHARES


Thomson Intermedia Plc received notification on 1 October 2004 that, following
the sale of 50,000 ordinary shares of 25p each in the Company ('Ordinary Shares
') on 27 September 2004, funds managed by Herald Investment Management Limited
have a notifiable interest in 3,521,060 Ordinary Shares in the Company
representing 12.25 per cent. of the total issued share capital of the Company,
