                           Transaction in own shares


Dunelm announces that on 3 March 2008 it purchased for Treasury 203,244 of its
ordinary shares at a price of 151.4 pence per share. The highest price paid was
152 pence per share and the lowest price 151 pence per share.

This purchase equates to approximately 0.10 per cent. of the Company's total 
issued share capital.

Following the purchase of these shares, Dunelm holds 274,994 of its shares in 
Treasury and has 200,516,406 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
