                           Transaction in own shares

Dunelm announces that on 29 February 2008 it purchased for Treasury 46,756 of
its ordinary shares at a price of 153 pence per share.

This purchase equates to approximately 0.02 per cent. of the Company's total
issued share capital.

Following the purchase of these shares, Dunelm holds 71,750 of its shares in
Treasury and has 200,719,650 ordinary  shares in issue (excluding treasury
shares).
