                            Resignation of Director


Billam Plc ('the Company') announces that with effect from 18 September 2003,
Mark Lorimer, a non-executive director has resigned from the Company to devote
more time to his other interests. The board thanks Mark Lorimer for his
contribution to the Company over the past three years.

The Company expects to strengthen the board with the appointment of another
non-executive director and an announcement in relation to this will be made in
due course.
