Billam PLC 12 December 2000 Billam Plc Appointment of non-executive director The company is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Basil Andrew Lorimer, aged 47, as a non-executive director of the Company. Mr Lorimer graduated in law from Cambridge University in 1975. Since qualifying as a lawyer, he has practised law and started and managed several other businesses. Also, he has experience as a non-executive director of listed and unlisted Companies. Mr Lorimer is interested in 1,500,000 ordinary shares in Billam plc, representing 0.18% of the Company's issued share capital. Career summary 1976 - 81 Linklaters & Paines - banking and corporate law 1981 - 87 Sinclair Roche & Temporley - lawyers specialising in marine and aviation industries. Became a partner in 1983. Whilst working as a lawyer began a property improvement and letting business. In 1987 he decided to leave Sinclair Roche & Temporley to concentrate on his other business interests full time. 1987 - date Legal practice as well as Property renovation and letting of residential, industrial and office properties Vehicle rental business - Aim Hire Limited a rapidly expanding van and truck rental business based in East Anglia Mr Lorimer is a director of Aim Hire Limited, Truckstop Inn Limited, Sharecase Limited, Maxisudden Limited, City Ship Management Limited, Holly House Limited, HollyHouse Investment Limited, Ebury Management Limited. He was a non-executive director of Celestion Industries plc 1988 - 94.
