KEY DATES RELATING TO THE INTERIM DIVIDEND

Following the announcement on 31 July 2012 of its Half Year Results for the 6 months ended

30 June 2012, Drax Group plc now confirms:

-   the submission of the Half Year Report 2012 to the National Storage Mechanism;

-   details of the mailing of the Half Year Report 2012 to shareholders; and

-   the key dates regarding the interim dividend.

Submission of the Half Year Report 2012 to the National Storage Mechanism

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.1 a copy of the Half Year Report 2012 has been submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and will be available for viewing shortly.

Mailing of the Half Year Report 2012 to shareholders

The Half Year Report 2012 will be mailed on 20 August 2012, to those registered shareholders of Drax Group plc who have elected to receive hard copy documentation.

The Half Year Report 2012 will also be available from 20 August 2012 as follows:

-     for viewing on the Company's website, www.draxgroup.plc.uk; and/or

-     by writing to the Company Secretary at the Registered Office; Drax Power Station, Selby, North Yorkshire YO8 8PH.

Interim dividend

Detailed below are the key dates regarding the interim dividend:

26 September2012 - ordinary shares marked ex-interim dividend

28 September 2012 - record date for entitlement to the interim dividend

12 October 2012 - payment of the interim dividend

The rate of the interim dividend is 14.4 pence per share.
