Drax Group PLC 18 December 2007 18 December 2007 Drax Group plc ('Drax' or the 'Company') (Symbol: DRX) Directorate Change Drax, the UK power generator, announces today that, after over four years with the Company, Gordon Horsfield is to retire as a non-executive director and Chairman of the Board. He will be succeeded by Charles Berry, currently a non-executive director. The change will become effective at the conclusion of the Company's Annual General Meeting scheduled to be held on 17 April 2008. Tim Barker, senior independent non-executive director of Drax, commented: 'On behalf of the Board, I should like to thank Gordon for his exceptional contribution to Drax. Gordon's skills and drive were crucial in achieving the group's restructuring, refinancing and listing. I have every confidence in its future and in the leadership which Charles will bring to the Board when I step down next April.'
