OSLO BYFOGDEMBETE REJECTS INJUNCTION PETITION

Reference is made to the stock exchange notice of 12 December 2011 where it was announced that Petrolia Invest AS and Erik J. Frydenbø had filed a request for an injunction with Oslo byfogdembete (Oslo Enforcement, bankruptcy and probate court) seeking to prohibit the completion of the merger with RAK Petroleum PCL's MENA operating subsidiaries. The court has today dismissed the request for injunction and in addition awarded DNO NOK 1 million in compensation to cover its legal costs. A strong majority of the shareholders and proxies present at the extraordinary general meeting on 1 November 2011 adopted the merger, and the merger is expected to be completed in January 2012 as planned.
