                    Retirement of Mr David Channing-Williams

Acal plc announces that Mr David Channing-Williams will be retiring as a
non-executive director of the company with effect from 30 April 2004.

Commenting on Mr Channing-Williams' retirement, John Curry, the Chairman of Acal
plc said:-
