Directa Plus plc

("Directa Plus" or the "Company")

First Commercial Contract in Latin America

Directa Plus (AIM: DCTA), a leading producer and supplier of graphene nanoplatelets based products for use in consumer and industrial markets, announces that the Company has concluded its first exclusive supply agreement (the "Supply Agreement") for its printed graphene textile Planar Thermal Circuit® (PTC®) in Latin America.  The contract is with a Columbian based manufacturer of ballistic protection clothing, CIA Miguel Caballero SAS ("CIA Miguel Caballero").  CIA Miguel Caballero is a specialist textile group with global distribution.  The initial exclusive four year supply contract will see Directa Plus providing a total of 77,500 linear meters of PTC® printed material over a four year period, commencing from October 2022, for a total value of over €1 million.

Following four months of trials, the Supply Agreement will see Directa Plus provide CIA Miguel Caballero's subsidiary MC Armor with PTC® printed linings for ballistic vests.  MC Armor has a successful 30-year history in the sales of ballistic protection clothing and is based in Colombia with international marketing and distribution.  All MC Armor product lines will adopt the new technology lining: SAS Black, Gold, S33 line, Armored T-shirts "tank top" and Armor T-shirt.

CIA Miguel Caballero will integrate Directa Plus's trademark G+® in the products' marketing information as a warranty seal for performance, sustainable graphene production, and material safety.  The first products embedded with the Company's patented PTC technology using G+® graphene will be shown in Las Vegas during the 2023 ShootShow (17 January - 20 January 2023).  The partnership between Directa Plus and CIA Miguel Caballero will also explore other G+® textile technology applications over the duration of the initial contract period.

As a result of the Company's G+® graphene's thermal conductivity, PTC® absorbs the heat produced by the human body, distributing it inside the garment and dissipating it by interacting with the surrounding environment.  This conductivity mechanism supports the natural thermoregulation of the body, providing wearers with increased comfort and performance levels.  G+® graphene is manufactured in a sustainable manner, without the use of chemicals, by exploiting water and mechanical treatment and so is perfectly suitable for wearing next to the skin.

Commenting, Giulio Cesareo, Founder and CEO of Directa Plus, said: "This contract is the first high-volume application of the PTC® technology in ballistic vests  and our first in Latin America. Directa's agile business model has been designed to capture significant opportunities on a world wide basis, leveraging on partners' powerful market penetration.   We are looking forward to working with Miguel Caballero - which has global distribution - and creates specialized personal protection for human beings through innovative garments."

This announcement has been approved by Giulio Cesareo, Chief Executive, on behalf of the Company.

About Directa Plus

Directa Plus (www.directa-plus.com) is one of the largest producers and suppliers of graphene-based products for use in consumer and industrial markets. The Company's graphene manufacturing capability uses proprietary patented technology based on a plasma super expansion process. Starting from natural graphite, each step of Directa Plus' production process - expansion, exfoliation and drying - creates graphene-based materials and hybrid graphene materials ready for a variety of uses and available in various forms such as powder, liquid and paste.

This proprietary production process uses a physical process, rather than a chemical process, to process graphite into pristine graphene nanoplatelets, which enables Directa Plus to offer a sustainable, non-toxic product, without unwanted by-products. Directa Plus' products are made of hybrid graphene materials and graphene nano-platelets. The products (marketed as G+®) have multiple applications due to its properties. These G+® products can be categorised into various families, with different products being suitable for specific practical applications.

Directa Plus was established in 2005 and is based in Lomazzo (Como, Italy) and has been listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange since May 2016. The Company holds the Green Economy Mark from London Stock Exchange which recognises companies that contribute to the global green economy.
