Deltex Medical Group plc was notified on 5 January 2005 by Close Brothers Group
plc, pursuant to Part VI of the Companies Act 1985 (as amended), that following
a transaction on 23 December 2004 it has a total holding of 3,389,111 Ordinary
Shares representing 4.88 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.

The Ordinary Shares are held as follows:

Close Brothers AIM VCT PLC               1,756,764                 2.53%
Other investment funds                   1,632,347                 2.35%
                                         3,389,111                 4.88%


The above interest was non-beneficial to Close Brothers Group plc and arose by
virtue of the discretionary management of the shares under written agreement
between the beneficial owner of the shares and Close Investment Limited, Close
Brothers Investment Limited and Close Finsbury Asset Management Limited, all of
which are subsidiaries of Close Brothers Group plc.
