Deltex Medical Group plc ('Deltex' or the 'Company') was informed on 19 January
2004 that, in accordance with section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 (as
amended), The Throgmorton Trust plc has sold 400,000 Deltex Medical ordinary 1p
shares.  Following the sale The Throgmortion Trust plc retains a holding of
2,453,625 Deltex Medical 1p ordinary shares representing 3.98% of the Company's
issued share capital.  The shares are registered in the name of HSBC Global
Custody Nominee (UK) a/c 811664.
