                   Dechra Pharmaceuticals PLC (the 'Company')

The Company received notification on 6 December 2002, in accordance with the
provisions of sections 198-202 of the Companies Act 1985 (as amended) that
Scottish Widows Investment Management Limited no longer has a notifiable
interest in the ordinary shares of the Company.

This notification was received on behalf of Lloyd's TSB Group plc, Lloyd's TSB
Bank plc and Scottish Widows Group Limited.
