NOTIFICATION OF INTERESTS
The board of Dechra Pharmaceuticals PLC (the 'Company') announces that it
received notification on 19 January 2001 that Merrill Lynch Investment
Managers Limited is interested in 5,470,715 ordinary 1p shares in the Company,
representing 10.98% of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
