Dechra Pharmaceuticals PLC announces that Malcolm Diamond MBE, Non-Executive Director, Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee, will be retiring from the Board with effect from 5 November 2010 following over ten years service with the Company.

On Malcolm Diamond's retirement, the Board proposes to appoint Neil Warner as Senior Independent Director and Bryan Morton as Chairman of the Remuneration Committee.

Michael Redmond, Chairman of Dechra Pharmaceuticals PLC, commented:

"On behalf of the Board I would like to extend our gratitude to Malcolm for his valued contribution to the Company over the past ten years.  During this time the Company has grown to be an international veterinary pharmaceutical business and Malcolm has contributed to this with his wide ranging knowledge and experience.  We wish Malcolm and his family all the very best for the future."

A replacement will be recruited before the end of the calendar year.
