                   TECHNOLOGY SUCCESSFULY USED IN US ELECTION

De La Rue is pleased to announce the successful use of its touch screen voting
technology in the recent US Presidential election. Nearly 52,000 electronic
voting machines manufactured by its US subsidiary Sequoia Voting Systems were
used by more than 12 million registered voters across 17 states. These included
Washington, D.C, California, Florida, Nevada and New Mexico. Sequoia provided
more electronic voting machines for the 2004 US Presidential election than any
other company.
