De La Rue plc ('the Company') wishes to confirm that it has granted on 26
November 1999 to the following directors options over the Company's Ordinary
Shares of 25p each under the Company's (1993) Executive Share Option Scheme:

Following this grant of options under the Company's Executive Share Option

Share Price Improvement Plan at an option price of 215.3p to Mr Much. 

The total outstanding share options over the Company's ordinary shares of 25p
each for the two directors of the Company referred to above as at 26 November
