De La Rue plc - Chief Executive Designate

Further to our announcement on 4 March 2004, Mr Leo Quinn has joined De La Rue
plc as Chief Executive Designate and an Executive Director of the Board with
effect from 29 March 2004. He will succeed Ian Much as Chief Executive on 31 May
2004, when Mr Much retires from the Company.

There are no details in respect of Mr Quinn that require disclosure under
paragraph 6.F.2 (b) to (g) of the Listing Rules.
