DE LA RUE PLC - NOTIFICATION OF DIRECTORS' INTERESTS



The Company was notified on 2 March 2007, that the De La Rue Qualifying Employee
Share Ownership (the 'QUEST') on 2 March 2007 transferred 170,146 shares of 277/
9p each in the Company pursuant to the exercise of options under the De La Rue
Sharesave Scheme. The number of De La Rue plc shares now held by the QUEST is 0
(0% of the Company's issued share capital).


Following the above transaction Mr L M Quinn, Chief Executive and Mr S A King,
Group Finance Director, no longer have an interest in the balance held by the
Trust as potential beneficiaries of the Trust.
