DCC plc announces that on 25 May 2005, 1,771 shares were transferred out of the
Company's holding of treasury shares pursuant to the exercise of options under
the DCC Sharesave Scheme 2001. The subscription price paid for these shares was
€8.79 per share.

DCC has a total of 88,229,404 shares in issue, of which 7,872,115 shares are now
held in treasury.
