                                Treasury Shares

DCC plc announces that on 28 February 2005, 4,437 shares were transferred out of
the Company's holding of treasury shares pursuant to the exercise of options
under the DCC Sharesave Scheme 2001. The subscription price paid for these
shares was €8.79 per share.

DCC has a total of 88,229,404 shares in issue, of which 7,891,361 shares are now
held in treasury.
