                                Treasury Shares

DCC plc announces that on 18 January 2006, 19,000 shares were transferred out of
the Company's holding of treasury shares pursuant to the exercise of options
under the DCC plc 1998 Employee Share Option Scheme. The subscription prices
paid for these shares ranged from €6.22 to €7.43.

DCC has a total of 88,229,404 shares in issue, of which 7,756,015 shares are now
held in treasury.
