DCC plc has received a notification dated 14 February 2005 from Bank of Ireland
Asset Management Limited, pursuant to Section 67 of the Companies Act 1990, that
Bank of Ireland Asset Management Limited has a holding of 8,678,265 shares of
€0.25 each in DCC plc, representing 9.84% of the Company's issued share capital.

Of this holding, 8,196,945 shares are registered in the name of Bank of Ireland
Nominees Limited, 104,368 shares are registered in the name of Citibank Nominees
Limited, 31,305 shares are registered in the name of Mellon Nominees Limited and
345,647 shares are registered in the name of Nortrust Nominees Limited, as
registered owners only, on behalf of a range of clients who are each the
beneficial owner of a portion of the shareholding.
