DCC Reclassified by FTSE to Business Support Services
DCC plc announces that the FTSE Actuaries Industry Classification Committee
has reclassified its shares from 'Distributors - Other' to 'Business Support
Services' with effect from the close of business on 31 December 2001. The
reclassification is in accordance with Rule 4.2.1 of the Ground Rules of the
Maintenance of the FTSE Global Classification System. This rule states that
the Committee will seek to avoid the maintenance of industry sectors that
represent less than 0.5% of the market capitalisation of the appropriate
benchmark index.
DCC welcomes this reclassification to a bigger, more highly rated and more
liquid market sector which has a broader analyst following.
