Cyan Holdings plc (AIM:CYAN.L), the integrated system and software design company delivering mesh based flexible wireless solutions for utility metering and lighting control, announces that one of its strategic meter manufacturer partners has deployed a pilot with a large public utility in the north of India demonstrating CyLec®, Cyan's smart electricity metering technology. This is the first time Cyan's solution has been deployed with the utility.

Cyan's meter manufacturer partner is deploying Cyan's integrated solution for Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) for a large public utility in the north of India. The utility, a regional government undertaking, undertakes the power distribution and retail supply business in the northern parts of the state. It services approximately 2 million domestic and over 300,000 non-domestic/light industrial customers in 11 districts under their jurisdiction.

Participation in technology trade mission to India

Cyan also announces that is has been chosen to participate in Web Mission 2013, a trade mission to Bangalore and New Delhi supported by the Technology Strategy Board and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI). The 16 participants were assessed on their innovation, market opportunity and ability to do meaningful business in India. The week long trade mission, starting on 9 February 2013, will allow participants to meet with potential customers and partners and develop their know-how of the business ecosystem and what it takes to succeed.  http://webmission.com/
