TRANSACTION IN OWN SECURITIES

The Board of Investors Capital Trust plc announces that on 25 January 2008 the
Company purchased 264,000 A shares at a price of 86p per A share to be held in
treasury and 88,000 B shares at a price of 86p per B share to be cancelled.

Following this purchase the Company's issued share capital consists of
104,124,440 A shares and 34,010,135 B shares, of which 5,771,296 A shares and
3,238,432 B shares are held in treasury. Therefore the total number of shares
with voting rights in Investors Capital Trust plc is 98,353,144 A shares and
30,771,703 B shares.

The above figures (98,353,144 and 30,771,703) may be used by shareholders as the
denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are
required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in,
Investors Capital Trust plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
