TRANSACTION IN OWN SECURITIES



The Board of Investors Capital Trust plc announces that on 24 July 2007 the
Company purchased 100,000 units at a price of 382p per unit to be held in
treasury. Each unit comprises three A shares and one B share.



Following this purchase the Company's issued share capital consists of
104,124,440 A shares and 34,708,135 B shares, of which 3,567,296 A shares and
1,188,432 B shares are held in treasury.  Therefore the total number of shares
with voting rights in Investors Capital Trust plc is 100,557,144 A shares and
33,519,703  B shares.



The above figures (100,557,144 and 33,519,703) may be used by shareholders as
the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are
required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in,
Investors Capital Trust plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
