TRANSACTION IN OWN SECURITIES

The Board of Investors Capital Trust plc announces that on 12 October 2007 the
Company purchased 1,500,000 A shares at a price of 96.8p per A share and 500,000
B shares at a price of 96.8p per B share to be held in treasury.

Following this purchase the Company's issued share capital consists of
104,124,440 A shares and 34,708,135 B shares, of which 5,067,296 A shares and
1,688,432 B shares are held in treasury.  Therefore the total number of shares
with voting rights in Investors Capital Trust plc is 99,057,144 A shares and
33,019,703  B shares.

The above figures (99,057,144 and 33,019,703) may be used by shareholders as the
denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are
required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in,
Investors Capital Trust plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
