On 13th July 2000 Foreign & Colonial PEP and ISA Investment Trust PLC purchased
for cancellation 40,000 ordinary shares in the market at a price of 173p per
share.
Following this purchase, the total number of ordinary shares in issue stands at
50,740,891.
