CATERPILLAR INC. FILES FORM 8-K

PEORIA, Ill.- 12 October 2012 - Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT / NYSE Euronext: CATR / LSE: CTA)  informs its stockholders that today, a Form 8-K has been filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") in respect of the departure and appointment of certain officers, as well as the required announcement of compensatory arrangements of it incoming Chief Financial Officer.
