CATERPILLAR INC. FILES FORM 8-K

PEORIA, Ill.- 17 May 2013 - Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT / NYSE Euronext: CATR / LSE: CTA) announced today, a Form 8-K has been filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") with respect to the resolution of all outstanding issues between Caterpillar Inc. and Mining Machinery Limited arising out of Caterpillar's acquisition of ERA, including its wholly-owned subsidiary Zhengzhou Siwei Mechanical & Electrical Manufacturing Co., Ltd., commonly known as "Siwei."
