Caterpillar Inc. today declared a quarterly cash dividend of thirty-five
cents ($0.35) per share on its common stock, payable August 20, 2001, to
shareholders of record at the close of business July 20, 2001.
The 3% increase to $0.35 per share marks the eighth consecutive year
Caterpillar has increased the return to shareholders through higher dividends.
Ex-dividend date is July 18, 2001.
