Crown Place VCT PLC announces that on 25 August 2006 it purchased, to be held in
treasury, 117,414 Ordinary 10p Shares (representing 0.15% of the issued Share
Capital), at a price of 40p per Ordinary Share.

Following the purchase of the 117,414 Ordinary Shares, the total number of
treasury shares held by the Company will be 6,472,653. The issued share capital
of the Company, less the total number of Ordinary Shares held in Treasury, will
be 79,627,220 Ordinary 10p Shares.
