Clarity Commerce Solutions PLC 12 December 2002 Clarity Commerce Solutions plc Recent Contract Wins and new Projects The Clarity Group is pleased to announce a number of new projects and contract wins. All these contracts are expected to have a positive effect on the second half of the Group's financial year. These contracts include three new projects and a contract win in the pub marketplace, as well as new contracts for the Clarity Group company Flex Systems, which operates in the public sector Health and Fitness market. The three projects now being undertaken in the pub marketplace by Clarity are: Hall & Woodhouse Hall & Woodhouse, a family brewer since 1777, have installed Clarity Central software and site systems into two pilot sites. Upon the conclusion of a successful trial of these central and site installations, Hall & Woodhouse will install Clarity solutions further into their estate. Wadworth & Co Wadworth & Co, based in Devizes, Wiltshire are currently installing Clarity software into three of their outlets, backed by Clarity Central head office software. Following the successful conclusion of this initial pilot phase Wadworth have agreed to install a mix of EPOS and software in further outlets. Porter Black Porter Black is a new managed house company born out of Lionheart Inns, which was previously owned by Ann Street Brewery. Porter Black required a management information infrastructure in place in preparation for further expansion and commissioned Clarity to provide a full end-to-end solution. This includes EPOS, back office software, Central reporting and other modules to give them control over products, prices and staffing information. Porter Black contracted Clarity to initially convert its existing estate, which has now doubled in size as a result of the acquisition of a further 17 pubs. New contract wins for Flex Basildon District Council is replacing two current competitors systems and is installing LeisureFlex VI-2000 in all of their 9 leisure centres. Three Rivers District Council is installing LeisureFlex VI-2000 to replace existing manual systems at all three of their Leisure Centres. This will be based on a Central Server and Wide Area Network. Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council is replacing its existing systems with LeisureFlex VI-2000 at 10 leisure centres plus headquarters. This solution will incorporate the ability to read and accept smart cards that are being issued to most residents of the Borough. Croydon's Fairfield Halls on-line Flex have been very successful with the installation of the on-line booking system in the famous Fairfield Halls in Croydon. This new module is a real-time solution which has been fully integrated into the existing Flex box office system. Since going 'live' on October 20th, Fairfield Halls have taken nearly 1000 bookings through the software, which is an exceptional response from a brand new service. Internet bookings already represents 11.4 per cent. of their daily total. Flex now have considerable experience with Internet bookings, with three clients already utilising on line leisure bookings plus a further seven currently being implemented. Live customers include Birmingham City Council who offer bookings at their 35 Leisure sites. All these valuable contracts have been secured by the group in a period of difficult market conditions, and provide us with confidence that the product offerings can continue to gain market share.
