number of its ordinary shares of £0.10 each on the London Stock Exchange via
Merrill Lynch International.

Croda intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury.


Following the purchase of these shares, Croda holds 2,185,284 of its ordinary
shares in treasury and has 134,083,560 ordinary shares in issue (excluding
treasury shares).
